What exactly is Nalfon 400 mg and nalfon tablet 600 mg and how is it used?
Nalfon 400 mg is a prescription drug that is used to treat the symptoms of Pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Osteoarthritis. Nalfon can be used alone or in combination with other medications.
Nalfon 400 mg it is an NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
It is unknown whether Nalfon is safe and effective in children under the age of 12.
What are the possible Nalfon side effects?
Nalfon can have serious side effects such as:
hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, runny or stuffy nose, wheezing, fever, sore throat, burning eyes, skin pain, red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling, chest pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder, slurred speech, swelling in your legs, shortness of breath, changes in your vision, skin rash (however mild), swelling, rapid weight gain, blood clots
Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, flu-like symptoms, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), little or no urination, swelling in your feet or ankles, tiredness, pale skin, unusual tiredness, lightheadedness, and cold hands and feet are all symptoms of jaundice.
If you have any of the symptoms listed above, seek medical attention immediately.
The following are the most common Nalfon side effects:
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, nervousness, itching, sweating, and ringing in your ears are all possible side effects.

SERIOUS CARDIOVASCULAR AND GASTROINTESTINAL EVENTS RISK
Thrombic Cardiovascular Events
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, both of which can be fatal. This risk may appear early in treatment and may increase with time. WARNINGS
NALFON® is not recommended for use during coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery [see CONTRAINDICATIONS and WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS].
Bleeding, Ulceration, and Perforation of the Gastrointestinal Tract
NSAIDs increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal (GI) adverse events such as bleeding, ulceration, and stomach or intestine perforation, which can be fatal. These events can occur at any time while using the product and without any warning symptoms. Patients over the age of 65, as well as those with a history of peptic ulcer disease and/or GI bleeding, are at a higher risk of serious GI events [see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS].
NALFON (fenoprofen calcium, USP) capsules are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication that comes in 200 mg and 400 mg capsules for oral administration.
The opaque yellow No. 97 cap and opaque white body of the 200 mg capsule are imprinted with “RX681” on the cap and body.
The 400 mg capsule has an opaque green cap and an opaque blue body, and is imprinted on the cap with “NALFON 400 mg” and “EP 123″ on the body.
Benzenaecetic acid, -methyl-3-phenoxy-, calcium salt dihydrate, ()- is the chemical name. 558.65 is the molecular weight. Its molecular formula is C30H26CaO6•2H2O, and its chemical structure is as follows.

Benzeneacetic acid, -methyl-3-phenoxy-, dihydrate calcium salt, ()- Fenoprofen Calcium is a derivative of arylacetic acid. It’s a crystalline white powder. It dissolves to a 15 mg/mL solution in alcohol at 25°C (95 percent ). It is only slightly soluble in water and completely insoluble in benzene. At 25°C, the pKa of fenoprofen calcium is 4.5.
Fenoprofen calcium dihydrate is contained in Nalfon capsules in amounts equivalent to 200 mg (0.826 mmol) or 400 mg (1.65 mmol) of fenoprofen.
Crospovidone, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, and talc are the inactive ingredients in Nalfon capsules. Furthermore, gelatin, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, and red iron oxide are present in the 200 mg capsules, while gelatin, D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Yellow #6, and titanium dioxide are present in the 400 mg capsules.
